Every Eisenhower family is already a member. The PTO raises the money the school budget doesn't stretch to, runs the events your kids remember, and looks after the staff who look after them.
Eisenhower is three schools under one roof — the community school, XinXing Chinese immersion and Juntos Spanish immersion — and the PTO serves all three. It is run entirely by parent and staff volunteers. There is no paid position and no office; everything below is somebody's evening.
The Read-A-Thon, the book fairs, the spring plant sale, Popcorn Fridays and Give to the Max Day. What they bring in pays for field trips, classroom supplies, the outdoor learning space, and enrichment nothing else covers.
Playground Night, Field Day, the Talent Show, the Imagination Fair, Bingo Night. Free or close to it, open to everyone, and the reason a family new in August knows a few faces by October.
Chinese New Year, the Juntos gala and end-of-year fiesta, and the Spring Arts & Cultural Festival. Bingo numbers are called in English, Spanish and Chinese, by parents, every year.
Meals through the long conference days, Teacher Appreciation Week, a stocked staff lounge, and the Art Adventure and BRAVO lessons parents deliver in the classrooms each winter.
An elected board of parent volunteers, plus whoever raises a hand. Seats are voted on every October, so this page names the jobs rather than the people — the names are in the directory, where they stay current.
Runs the meetings, coordinates the events, approves reimbursements, books the buses and the vendors, runs the election, and speaks for the PTO to the district.
Co-leads, and owns the book fair, the Read-A-Thon, the yearbook, teacher appreciation and the staff lounge.
Minutes, the monthly PTO Corner newsletter, flyers, wishlists, and getting photos of the year taken and shared.
The treasurer's report, the budget, taxes, deposits and reimbursements.
Restaurant nights, the Read-A-Thon, the plant sale and Give to the Max Day.
All volunteer coordination and sign-ups, merchandise, Bingo Night, and the thank-you at the end of the year.
The bridge between the staff room and the PTO — brings classroom needs and grant opportunities to the table.
The bench: flexible hands and per-event chairs, for whatever needs an owner this year.
Everything the PTO runs, in the order it happens. Dates move — the calendar always has the current ones.
Nobody is asking for a year of your life. Most of what the PTO needs is two hours, once.
Upcoming events that still need a hand. Open one to see the shifts and sign up.
When an Eisenhower family hits a hard stretch, the Resource Center is how the school helps — quickly and quietly.
Once a month, about an hour, and the fastest way to find out what is actually going on.
Teachers cover more classroom costs out of pocket than anyone admits. A wishlist takes one of those purchases off their plate: order the thing, and it arrives at school.
Coffee, tea and snacks for the people who get there before your kids do. This is the list behind “Stock the Staff Lounge.”
The supplies the art room runs through fastest, in the sizes it actually uses.
Shelf staples for the Resource Center — food, hygiene products and other everyday essentials, delivered straight to the school.
Teachers keep lists of their own, too. Find your child's classroom and order a thing — it ships to the school.
Nothing matches — try fewer letters.
The PTO is entirely volunteer-run, so what is given goes back to the school almost undiminished — field trips, classroom supplies, the outdoor learning space, and the enrichment programs.
Give through GiveMNGiveMN is Minnesota's nonprofit giving platform, and where the PTO runs its Give to the Max Day campaign each November. You can give there any day of the year.
A question, an idea, or an hour to spare — any of these reaches a real person.

The PTO is an independent nonprofit run by parents at the school. Mail reaches it at the school's address, and an employer's matching-gift program will ask for the EIN.
